Position: Media Content Lawyer
Location: Remote working
Keystone Law is a firm that was founded upon a desire to do things differently. The original concept was to build a law firm in which lawyers could focus on working with clients, free from management obligations and administrative distractions, whilst being helped by teams of people who are there to support them. The concept endures to this day.
Keystone Law is a multiple award-winning Top 50 UK law firm that continues to make waves in the legal sector. Our lawyers are ranked in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, and in November 2020 we were named Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious The Lawyer Awards, the ultimate accolade in the legal profession. In January 2021, Keystone was also crowned Happiest Law Firm of the Year by RollOnFriday. Keystone lawyers are known to be some of the most satisfied and driven individuals in the legal profession.
The hiring partner for this role is an experienced media content lawyer who provides pre-publication clearance advice to large book publishing houses, independent publishers and self-publishing authors. She is looking for a self-motivated lawyer to take on this nature of work and to assist with the development of this business. You should have at least 8 PQE in this area, with an excellent working knowledge of defamation, privacy and copyright laws and a good track record of media content clearance, working in collaboration with publishing clients. This is a great opportunity for someone without a client following who is willing to work on a part-time basis initially with the ambition to help develop this business. Alternatively, the role would suit someone who has their own client following and accordingly is able to work on a more full-time basis. You will be able to work remotely and flexibly.
If you feel you have the skills and experience we are looking for and would enjoy working for an expanding and forward-thinking law firm, then please get in touch today.
Please email your CV and a covering note to recruitment@keystonelaw.co.uk, marking your email “Application for NH Role” in the subject line. We will review your details and contact you with further information if we would like to take this forward.
