LEGAL DIRECTORIES COORDINATOR – TOP 75 LAW FIRM

Keystone Law is looking for an bright, enthusiastic individual to join our award-winning Marketing and Business Development team. The role of the Legal Directories Coordinator would suit someone who has a real interest in research and learning about law to assist and help prepared the annual submissions of what lawyers have been working on for guides such as the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. It would be particularly well suited to someone who has a passion for uncovering details and not afraid to ask senior lawyers what they are working on.
With over 400 senior lawyers covering almost all areas of law, the insight the person who takes on this position will be unrivalled and fascinating, every day the successful candidate will learn about a wide range of confidential, complex and high profile cases and why Keystone achieved success for their clients.
To begin this role will work closely with the Business Development Manager but for the right individual there is scope to take full responsibility and autonomy for this area and fast track promotion which would be rewarded accordingly.
Whilst the successful candidate will work primarily on our directory submissions, there will be opportunities to get involved with other elements of Marketing and Business Development including events and pitches, however, this will only form a small percentage of the role.
Full training will be given on all elements of this position from one of the leading experts on how to achieve the best results and manage the entire legal directory process.
Duties:
- Contacting lawyers to ask them what they have been working on.
- Showing lawyers how to submit information via the intranet.
- Editing information received via the intranet in to house style and finding out more details where necessary.
- Drafting and working with lawyers to create bespoke biographies which showcase their expertise in certain areas of law.
- Contacting clients to ask if they would be prepared to be referees or have given consent to be named.
- Ensuring all contact details for referees are correct and up to date.
- Collating all information to produce complete submissions which demonstrate the skills and expertise in the firm.
- Monitoring the directory tracking tools to see who is being tracked for potential rankings and ensure those lawyers take part.
- Liaising with researchers from the guides to find out interview schedules.
- Arranging interviews between the guides and lawyers.
- Helping lawyers to prepare for the interviews and then sitting in on the calls with them.
- Following up after interviews with researchers to check they have all the information required and sharing any extra information which may not have been covered.
- Notifying the guides about new lawyers who join the firm and updating their credentials accordingly.
- Monitor which lawyers are ranked to ensure they do not miss submitting information the following year.
- Maintaining the Keystone Law profile pages on the websites for each of the guides.
- Compiling results when guides are published and sharing the results internally.
- Work alongside the PR team to produce materials which can be shared externally to celebrate rankings including press releases and social media posts.
- Help the lawyers to celebrate achievements via their own social media pages and creating content for them if they need assistance.
- Identifying quotes and other key pieces of information which can be used in pitches, proposals and to help promote Keystone more generally.
- Updating lawyer website profiles with results when the guides are published.
- Promoting the benefits of participating in the guides to lawyers.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required including event coordination and support.
Ideal applicants will:
- Be confident and charismatic when dealing with senior individuals.
- Have excellent spelling and grammar skills.
- Be confident with computers and very good knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Have excellent organisational skills whilst also being calm and methodical when dealing with large amounts of data and information.
- Be able to manage and prioritise multiple projects running in parallel with tight deadlines.
- Have a can do attitude and high attention to detail.
Location
This role is remotely based subject to candidate having a suitable area to work from within their home and all IT equipment will be provided, however, the candidate will also need to attend the London office to meet and support the rest of the marketing team - typically this is once or twice a month. Travel costs are not provided in addition to salary.
Keystone’s core working hours are 09.00 – 17.30 GMT, however, there may be occasions when work outside of these times may be required.
