Position: Healthcare Associate x 2 (1PQE+ and 6PQE+)
Location: Remote working
Keystone Law is one of the most respected law firms in the UK and its fast rise is reshaping the UK legal market. It is a multiple award-winning Top 100 law firm that is continuing to make waves. In 2017 it listed on the London Alternative Investment Market, and it continues to go from strength to strength with investors and clients alike. Our lawyers are drawn from the partnerships of the top 50 law firms and some high-quality boutiques.
The firm is ranked by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, and in November 2020 we were named Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious The Lawyer Awards, the ultimate accolade in the legal industry. In January 2021, Keystone was also crowned Firm of the Year by RollOnFriday after achieving a 94% employee satisfaction score in the publication’s annual survey. As the UK’s happiest law firm, our lawyers are some of the most satisfied in the industry.
We are currently growing the Healthcare team and are recruiting for two solicitors – an Associate (minimum 1 PQE) and a Senior Associate (minimum 6 PQE) – with a strong healthcare regulatory and claims background. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a burgeoning area of practice within a highly successful and well-regarded team.
The role presents significant opportunities for training, growth and development in a unique team at the forefront of healthcare litigation which has enjoyed significant success and acts for a wide range of clients (insurers, insureds, regulators, Royal Colleges, defence organisations, PCTs and medical professionals) on the defence side. The team draws on opportunities to act for Keystone’s wide client base, while keeping its sights firmly set on continuing to win new business in this rapidly evolving, most interesting area.
The Associates will enjoy a wide variety of work, including healthcare regulatory law (defending healthcare professionals before their regulators – GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC etc.), disciplinary work (MHPS and private hospitals), inquest law, medico-legal advisory work, criminal and clinical negligence claims work.
The successful candidates will have solid experience of the range of healthcare litigation for defendants. We would prefer candidates to have experience of acting for insurers or defence organisations. NHSLA experience would also be considered but regulatory experience on the defence side in healthcare is an absolute. You will also be able to demonstrate technical and commercial expertise and application and to deliver excellent results and client service for clients within required time frames.
If you feel you have the skills and experience for which we are looking, and you would enjoy working for an expanding and forward-thinking law firm, then please get in touch today.
Please email your CV and a covering note to firstname.lastname@example.org, marking your email “Application for Healthcare Associate Role” or “Application for Senior Healthcare Associate Role” as appropriate in the subject line. We will review your details and contact you with further information if we would like to take this forward.
Direct applicants only please. We are not accepting agency candidates for this role.
