Culture & Teamwork

The Keystone culture is intrinsic to the firm and driven by our entrepreneurial, rainmaking approach to delivering legal services. Lawyers join us to enjoy a better way of practising law. They stay because they love it.

Together, they are united by a desire to deliver exceptional service and unbeatable value. Here, lawyers are not “employees”, nor are they confined by restrictive covenants. There are no fancy titles and everyone enjoys the benefits of a level playing field. Most importantly, Keystone lawyers are valued and listened to, all while being rewarded for the work they put in as individuals.

A combination of agility, passion and drive with wide-ranging support has created a unique formula for growth. In an environment that could only have evolved organically, a plethora of dynamic social events and the freedom to work in the way that suits you creates a perfect harmony. The result is a powerful, Top 100 law firm with a complete absence of internal politics and hierarchy.

From the moment you join, a bespoke on-boarding plan will be activated, in order to get you up and running fast. We do all the heavy lifting to ensure that you are free to get on with what you do best.

Lawyers at Keystone frequently collaborate to ensure that client needs are fulfilled. Cutting-edge technology and a strong cultural foundation facilitate a team-based environment. Groups of lawyers and paralegals regularly work together. And with a robust culture of cross-referral, there is an abundance of opportunity to get your teeth into something new, should you want to. Regular team-building events consisting of lunches, dinners, team meetings and CPD training seminars are also available to aid collaboration.

Fiona Severs is Keystone’s Head of Culture & Engagement – in other words, our internal matchmaker. Her role is all about understanding each lawyer and what they do, facilitating introductions and relationships to help lawyers take their practice in the right direction. Fiona spent 15 years as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills before making a sideways move into business development, CSR and coaching.
